Mandy requested some soccer burpies, "pink and girly". She is giving this set to former soccer players and they plan on making their little girl into a tomboy, so Mandy wanted to introduce them to pink!! Can I tell you how hard it is to find cute and girly "theme-y" fabric?? Let me tell you, hard!! BUT, after much searching, I found some pretty cute soccer ball flannel and was able to come up with this set.
The left burpie is white minky dot with pink flannel on the back, the soccer flannel with white back and then all white flannel with a striped bow.
The second was from my sweet friend, Melissa. She is due with her first baby girl in just a week! She and her husband, Sam, both are Longhorns. Melissa is surprising Sam with a UT themed diaper bag for his first Father's Day, and wanted some UT burpies to go in it! I couldn't find any decent UT fabric, so I thought we could use some old t-shirts (especially to get the right orange...all of the orange I found was Tennessee orange, and that would be a no-no!). So, I cut up the shirts and sort of appliqued them onto flannel. Since it's for the dad-to-be, I kept them pretty simple.
